Recently I got a LEGO town plan set! It is town plan set 725! Unfortunately it was missing the VW beetles, streetlights and The esso sign. But it had everything else!
Hello! My name is Oliver. I am starting to build a LEGO 1950s/1960s town. In the 1950s and 60s there were no proper instructions. Just layered instructions, which were hard to use. Some sets didn’t even have layered instructions. They just had inspiration sheets. So I have been building some vintage lego houses from the town plan set.
I just got more parts and started to build more buildings because I plan to get another town plan board. This next layout is going to be very cool, considering I’m building many of the individual sets like the church, small house, (left, right and center) small store, vw dealer and many other buildings. I’m hoping to make an extremely large layout using the board from an old LEGOLAND set called “Harbor Scene” and another board from another LEGOLAND set called “town center with roadways” to connect with my already existing town plan. It would be very large, considering there would be 4 boards in all. I really hope I can do it. Harbor scene board Town center board
This build was very simple and quick to build. It does use some special parts such as the garage plate and frame, but I do not have a door for it because I used it on the service station, but I hope I can get another soon.
