Vintage LEGOs and other toys

 These are all of my HO 1:87 scale vehicles. I only have trucks. I need cars a lot. But the cars are extremely expensive. I’ve been trying to win HO 1:87 car bids on eBay but I haven’t won any yet because they always raise in price.

  The tiny corner houses were extremely simple to make. They are just 2 plates with curved edges and some transparent bricks and a door. It took me 2 minutes to build one. 4 minutes in all. Now onto the old buildings that now have 2x2 macaronis on them... The cafe and the esso filling station now both have transparent 2x2 macaroni bricks on them.(also I got the gas pumps for the station.)

 This is a very nice build. I think it looks good in the town. It took me about 10 minutes to build. But it used up 4 trans-clear 2x2 macaroni bricks, which was kind of unfortunate for me because I don’t have very many. Also there is a hotel tower. It’s quite easy, because it’s just a bunch of transparent and white bricks. It takes about 15 minutes. Rear of the buildings UPDATE: the hotel tower collapsed, so I had to make something with the leftover bricks. 

Recently I got a LEGO town plan set! It is town plan set 725! Unfortunately it was missing the VW beetles, streetlights and The esso sign. But it had everything else!   

 This one was quite easy to build. It is probably one of the easiest ones I built. It has extremely simple design and can be built quickly. In the actual set it has a sign that says VW garage. But I don’t have it so I just put a garage sign. the only HO 1:87 scale lego cars I have are mercedes trucks. I have a mercedes tow truck and a flatbed truck. so I need to add vw beetles to the required parts list. 

 The cafe took me a while to get it perfect. But eventually I got it right. I saw on the box of the town plan set it has a ‘taxi’ sign, but I didn’t have it and I saw on vintageandclassiclego.com they used the cafe sign so I decided I’d make mine a cafe too. This was probably the most complicated building in the whole town plan set. It took me about half an hour to get it right. I have never seen very many pictures of this building online. so it was quite hard to get the plates to connect and let the cars be able to fit in it. also, I need even more transparent 2 x 2 macaroni bricks now. Update: 2x2 macaronis have been added:  I’m very happy with how it ended up.

 The tiny house was very simple I built it in about 2 minutes. It looks very nice and I think it’s pretty well designed, just like the other buildings. It didn’t use many special parts so it was pretty convenient. The building is also mirrored on the other side.
